Lila Villasenor is a composer and violinist based in Boston, MA and the NYC Metropolitan area.  In Spring 2025, Lila will be receiving her Bachelor’s of Music in  Screen Scoring from the prestigious Berklee College of Music.

    As a violinist, Lila has gained various performance opportunities, including a solo performance with the Rockland Symphony Orchestra, participation in NYSSMA All State symphonic and string orchestras at Kodak Hall, and two recitals at Carnegie Hall.  At Berklee, Lila studied violin under award-winning recording artist, Dr. Chelsey Green.  Additionally, Lila has served as associate concertmaster and orchestra manager of the Berklee Motion Picture Orchestra.  She has also worked as a music director for the Congers United Methodist Church Summer Youth Camp in Congers, New York.

   Lila's compositional training includes participation in programs at  Bard Conservatory and Mannes Prep.  Lila's composition mentors include Dr. Steven Sacco at Mannes Prep (The New School) and with Dr. Andrew List at Berklee College of Music.  In March 2021, Lila placed as a finalist in the Great American Song Contest, under the instrumental composition category.  In spring 2022, Lila composed the original score to Lucas Arruda's Malibu Soda.  Further on, she also composed the score to Kareem Jrab's short film, Seduce Reuse Recycle in summer 2022.

     Outside of composition, Lila hopes to pursue graduate studies in music therapy.  She is a strong advocate for mental health awareness and hopes to explore the intersectionality between music and healthcare.
